About This Application

Prospective students must complete a handful of pre-entry requirements before they can register for FIRE courses at Skagit Valley College.

These pre-entry requirements include:

    • Completing a background check
    • Obtaining a letter from a medical provider
    • Signing up for an orientation

    Please note that you will need your Skagit Valley College student number (ctcLink ID) and a medical provider’s letter to complete this application form.
    Identification



    Your ctcLink Student ID Number is available on your welcome letter from Skagit Valley College. If you have not yet applied to Skagit Valley College, you will need to do that first. You must have a ctcLink ID number to apply to the FIRE program.



    Enter your preferred email address for communications from the SVC FIRE Program. Ideally, this address will be the one you check most frequently.



    Providing your phone number is optional.

    Please indicate whether or not you have completed a background check on Complio. 

    Your application will not be considered complete until your background check is processed.

    Complio Background Check Is Required
    Complio Background Checks are required for program acceptance.

    Medical Provider's Letter
    Instructions
    Please upload your letter from a medical provider indicating that you meet the occupational medical standards set forth in the National Fire Protection Association Standard 1582.

    Mandatory FIRE Program Orientation
    Instructions
    Attendance at one of the following orientation sessions is mandatory, as we will discuss program expectations and size incoming students for the clothing and gear that they will need.
